Blogging Doggies Meet Up?

July 13, 2008 by Georgeous · 10 Comments

Today I had been thinking, then asked Mum and Dad if I could meet some more blogging doggies that I have been cyber pals with. You see, I met Simba quite by chance on No Mans Land a little while ago (here’s our picture) .

I asked Mum if we could all meet on the common one day. Mum said that not many of my blogging buddies are from this country and this country is long car journey’s big and travelling to the common might be a long journey for some dogs and people. I didn’t understand that bit, people are so conflicting with what they say, I keep hearing her and Dad say ‘it’s a small world’, surely the world is bigger than England?

How many of you know how big England is?

Mum did suggest to me later on this evening, that maybe some of my friends know other UK bloggers. She said that maybe if my cyber friends barked about it and lots of barks barked back, I could arrange a Blogging Doggies meet up. She showed me on a map where I live and how many hours car journey the country is. I live in Hertfordshire and I don’t mind a 2 hour journey somewhere. Where do you all live? Do you know anydog that lives 2 hours near me and would like to make a pawty?

George Gets an Aristocratic Title

Whilst browsing Happy’s blog, George notices that he can find out his aristocratic title.

My Peculiar Aristocratic Title is:
The Very Reverend Georgeous the Abrupt of London by the Bow

He lives not far from London and says in the midst of a quiet night, he can often hear Bow bells. However, he doesn’t know any cockney rhyming slang and isn’t about to learn any either.

He thinks they have made a mistake or two: firstly, he’s never been to church, not even for a wedding, so isn’t sure how he is a reverend and secondly he say’s he’s more Aloof that abrupt (it’s in the breeding and secret agent training).

But he says he will continue to say his prayers and thank the Creator that he found a forever home.

George returned to the dogs home yesterday so that they could take him to be castrated. Some of his male skin friends winced at this, but you know, it is the policy!

He spent the night snoozing and has to spend the next week doing very gentle exercise. So no jumping through hoop practice and no running around.

He seems to be managing to lounge around without his long morning walk and if the vet gives him the all clear next Wednesday, he can start his agility class a week on Friday.

He’s been very good and has made no attempts to pull off the plaster, or lick and check for what is missing. His bed has been moved into the lounge to discourage him from jumping on the sofa and so far convalescing is going well.

He’s wearing an amethyst crystal to help keep him calm, he has some other crystals by his bed and has a Reiki treatment from Pooky. All set for a good recovery.
